Marble Arch Place
Two significant buildings in the heart of the West End
Marble Arch Place is a significant new landmark building in London’s West End. Overlooking Hyde Park, the development consists of two separate buildings of differing heights comprising prime residential, office, retail, restaurant and cinema space. The public realm provides a moment of calm away from the busy crowds and traffic of Oxford Street.
The Portland stone facades are formed using three dimensionally complex precast concrete units creating deep reveals and curved elevations. The flat and curved glazing is integrated with the stone detailing to minimise visible framing.
The crown of the commercial building is formed from pre-stressed stone columns on the upper terrace. These columns contain steel posts that provide restraint for the full height glazing and support the roof, creating a minimal uncluttered bright office space.
The project has an BREEAM Excellent rating, placing it in the top 10% of new non-domestic UK buildings for sustainability performance.
Interface is providing a client compliance role including review of contractor detail design, off site performance testing and regular site reviews.
