Converting an existing office building to a prestigious hotel development

The existing office building at 40 Eastbourne Terrace was extended and the facades replaced to create a contemporary hotel building opposite Paddington Station and the new Crossrail development. The new facades are comprised of aluminium curtain walling and handset brick.

Interface were appointed to assist in the preliminary options studies during Stage 2 Concept Design and have continued our role through developed design and specification. We reviewed the cladding contractor’s design, witnessing performance mock-ups and visiting site to review the facade installation.

Construction got underway in 2023, and the project achieved practical completion in May 2024.
