Refurbishment, recladding and new extension to landmark building

Berkeley Street is an 8-storey, existing office, hotel and retail building located in the West End of central London on Piccadilly and Berkeley Street.

The existing uses of the building will be retained and enhanced through complete internal refurbishment, complete facade refurbishment and new extensions to the rear and the addition of two floor levels to the existing buildings. All the glazing systems will be replaced.

New bronze shopfronts will be added to the Piccadilly and Berkeley Street elevations and an additional Pavilion ‘building’ will be integrated to the corner of Dover Street.

The project has high acoustic requirements for the 5-star hotel rooms, which are to be achieved without secondary glazing.

Precast panels faced in brickwork and Portland stone are used to integrate the new facades with the existing.

The new hotel rooms at levels 7 and 8 have large format sliding doors to terraces that overlook Piccadilly and Hyde Park beyond.
